Staying cool - even when it's hot

This is what we did this summer.
We played tennis!

Frankie started school - here he is on the first day.
We went to the zoo!

We went to the garden - or was it a graveyard?

We celebrated 4th of July - with Jello!

We went to a carnival!

We went to the gardens on a HOT day.

We played at some parks.

We studied in a one-room school house (with AC). Stanley wanted to know how the people used to kill animals back in the time of one-room school houses, but the teacher didn't have a very good answer for that.

We panned for treasure and found some!

We smiled for the camera.

Stanley rode on a pony.

Frankie fed some goats.

We visited with a our Gramma Molly.

We cooled off in the fountain.

Stanley started Kindergarten! Yeah Stanley!

We painted pictures.

We rode bikes!

We visited with our Grandma Cookie.

We went to the zoo and rode the carousel.

Turning TWO!

Frankie's Post:
Back when it was still hot outside, I turned 2 years old!

Having birthdays is so great. I got lots of presents and Stanley didn't. Ha ha ha!
And the cake was for me, but I let everyone else have some, too.
And, I had a Dora and Diego birthday party with all my friends - that meant cake TWO times in ONE day.

I just love Dora. And Boots and Bennie and Isa - even Swiper.
We had lots of fun. There were Dora and Diego decorations, Dora and Diego cupcakes, and a pinata!

Dad Day - Number 6!

Stanley's Post:
Well, Dad - always a lucky guy - was even luckier this father's day. His t-shirt was Pokemon - AGAIN! Last year we had Blastoise for Dad, Charizard for me, and cute little Turtwig for Frankie. This year, we were organized. Frankie had Charmander, I got Charmeleon, and Dad got Charizard - since he's the biggest. It was Mom's idea. I would have rather picked a stronger pokemon for my shirt.

And, he got a coconut cake with real coconut. He's always wanted one of those. AND we made an art project for him. I think we still need a picture of that. It's beautiful, though. I used a LOT of gems.

Summer Vacation - Montana

We kicked off our summer with a trip to Montana and had lots of fun.
Some highlights:
Fruit snacks (at an animal sanctuary)

  Goofin' around

Hiking - but mostly throwing rocks

Real dinosaur bones - REAL ones

Hanging out with our cuz - and sharing some snacks

First trip to the ER. Don't buy this kind of ball. It's too strong.
  McDonalds - oh yeah!
