Getting Big

As I'm sure you all know, I'll be turning 1 year old in less than three weeks and yeah, I'm getting pretty big. I can do lots of neat things now, like wave and clap and point.

I can even stand up without holding on to stuff and grab the remote controls and other toys from the tables and desks.

I can climb on top of my little table - or I can play nicely when I want to.

I can even go down the slide at school, all by myself.

Riding on a carousel

Last weekend I went to the zoo with my friend Addison and our parents. We had a lot of fun and both powered through without naps. We're pretty tough. To see a picture of all of us in front of the the elk exhibit and some more pictures of my friend, Addison, click here - it's a link to Addy's blog. At the end of the day, we got to take a ride on the carousel at the zoo. I really liked riding on the carousel and I was a little upset when my mom pulled me off the horse at the end.

Hanging Out in Canada

A few weeks ago we took a trip up north to visit our friends in Canada. While we were there, we had an early birthday party for ME. Here's some shots of me with some of my neat-o presents. I got this cool pop-up school bus to play in.

Here's dad and me, modeling out genuine Canadian tuques.

We also went for a little hike. Mom and Dad forgot my backpack, so I went off-roading in my umbrella stroller.

It was wild - and muddy. At the end, we got to smuggler's cove, where they used to smuggle either rum or people, we weren't quite sure.

I also got to test out Lisa and George's staircase. It's a lot bigger than the one at school that leads to the slide. This one was a real workout - but I made it all the way to the top. You can see my personal trainer there close behind, offering words of encouragement.

Watching baseball

I went to my first baseball game last month. It was awesome. We went out to dinner and then to the game. Here's me enjoying a little beverage while I watch the game. I even got to do the wave AND the Mariner's beat Chicago big time.

Going to Montana

Last month, I had a nice trip to Montana to visit with some family. My gramma and grampa have a big house with no stairs and I had a great time crawling as fast as I could all over the house. There were all kinds of great places to explore.
While I was there, I got to meet my great gramma Doris.
I also got to visit with my Aunt Liddi and meet her friend, Mike and her dog, Mean Doggie. I didn't get to pet that dog. Here we are out on the lawn. That's me, trying to keep my feet out of the grass. Grass is almost as bad as sand for feeling icky on your feet and hands. I prefer carpet, vinyl or hardwoods, myself.
I made my first trip up Mt. Helena as well. This is me at the summit, looking down on the Helena Valley.
